It is an accelerated administrative procedure, not a separate residence title. The worker authorises the employer, who starts the process with the competent foreigners authority.

The official procedure fee is €411; other fees are additional. Following preliminary approval, an appointment is intended within three weeks, with a decision generally within three weeks of a complete visa application. This is not a guaranteed end-to-end timetable.
