The main applicant needs 400% of IPREM and each accompanying family member adds 100%. With the 2026 IPREM of €600 monthly, first-year examples are €28,800 plus €7,200 per additional person. These are financial-resource thresholds, not service fees.

Review passport, financial evidence, medical certificate, criminal records and appropriate insurance from an authorised insurer. Consular requirements determine legalisation and translation details.
Spain · Initial non-lucrative residence ↗Renewal and future plans
The initial authorisation lasts one year; renewal normally lasts two years unless long-term residence applies. Renewal requires renewed assessment of resources for the relevant period, insurance and other conditions. Residence history, tax status and any future long-term residence or nationality application need separate assessment. Outcomes are not automatic.
